Yanko Jose Abreu, 60, passed away on Tuesday, November 11, 2025 at home in Belleville, NJ while surrounded by his loving family.
Relatives and friends are invited to visit at the Thiele-Reid Family Funeral Home, 585 Belgrove Drive, Kearny, NJ on Saturday, November 15 from 2 to 6 p.m. Interment will be private.
Born in San Francisco de Macoris, Dominican Republic, Yanko immigrated to the United States in 1970 and lived in New York City. He has lived in Belleville for the last twenty-two years.
He was the lead singer in the band, Traamici.
Mr. Abreu is survived by his wife, Xiomara (De La Cruz) Abreu, four children, Yanko Abreu, Yair Abreu, Nathalie Abreu and Yanisse Abreu, his father, Yanko Abreu and his sister Nathalie Roperto. He also leaves four grandchildren, Lilyana Gracve Martinez, Mia Elyse Martinez, Kailani Alexa Silva and Joel Alexander Silva.
He was predeceased by his mother, Eva Milagros Valeriano Abreu on sister, Yanedda Abreu and one brother, Diego Abreu.
