Winifred (Snee) McCabe

Winifred McCabe, “Freda” 92, (nee Snee) passed away on Thursday, December 9, 2021, in Mountainside Hospital, Glen Ridge, NJ.

The funeral will be from the Thiele-Reid Family Funeral Home, 585 Belgrove Drive, Kearny, NJ on Saturday, December 18 at 9:00 a.m. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated in St. Cecilia Church, Kearny at 10:00 a.m. Interment will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery, North Arlington, NJ.  Relatives and friends are invited to visit at the funeral home on Friday evening from 6 to8 p.m.

Born in French Park, Ireland, Mrs. McCabe immigrated to the United States on December 29, 1956. She lived in Kearny for many years before moving to Toms River, NJ where she lived for 26 years. Winifred moved to Cedar Grove, NJ  six months ago.

Winifred was a proud member of the County Roscommon Society of New York and New Jersey.

She is survived by three children, Rosemary McCabe-Ritt, and her husband, Joe Ritt, Kevin McCabe, and Brian McCabe, and one sister, Eileen Cunningham.

Mrs. McCabe was predeceased by her husband, Michael McCabe, and her son, Michael McCabe.
