Obituary
William T. Donoghue, 86, passed away on Thursday, November 24, 2022, at home in Kearny, NJ.
Relatives and friends are invited to visit at the Thiele-Reid Family Funeral Home, 585 Belgrove Drive, Kearny, NJ on Thursday, December 1 from 4 to 8 p.m. A Funeral Mass will be offered in Queen of Peace Church, North Arlington, NJ on Friday, December 2 at 11:00 a.m. Interment will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery, North Arlington.
Mr. Donoghue was born in Jersey City, NJ and lived there until moving to Kearny in 1998.
He served his country in the United States Army during the Korean War.
William was a Welder for P.S.E.&G. in Jersey City for 15 years before retiring. Prior, he worked at Miles Shoe Store in Jersey City.
Bill is survived by his children, Kathy Donoghue, Joanne Reading, Patricia “Ticia” Irvine, Marie Donoghue, Judy Peyrouton, William, Michael, Danny, Richie and Timmy.
He was predeceased by his wife, Joanne (nee Murray) Donoghue and two brothers, Richard and Daniel Donoghue.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions to A.S.P.C.A. or an animal shelter of your choice in Bill’s memory.
