Walter Fernando Castello

Walter F. Castello, 67, passed away on Monday, January 13, 2025, at home in Kearny, NJ while surrounded by his loving family.

Relatives and friends are invited to visit at the Thiele-Reid Family Funeral Home, 585 Belgrove Drive, Kearny, on Thursday January 16, from 4 to 8 p.m. Visiting will continue on Friday, Janaury 17 from 10 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. The funeral service will begin at 12:00 p.m. Cremation will be private.

Born in Lima, Peru, Walter immigrated to the United Sates and lived in Newark, NJ before moving to Kearny forty years ago.

Mr. Castello was a Hi Lo Operator for U.S. Foods in Perth Amboy, NJ for the last twenty-one years.

He is survived by his wife, Maria Unzueta, one daughter, Nixie Castello and one son, Enzo Castello. He was the grandfather of Elies Castello.
