Veronica (Velevas) Minauskas

Veronica Minauskas, (nee Velevas), 106 years of age, passed away on Tuesday, June 30, 2020, in Care One at Morris in Parsippany, NJ.

Relatives and friends are invited to visit at the Thiele-Reid Family Funeral Home, 585 Belgrove Drive, Kearny, NJ on Thursday, July 2, 2020, from 9 to 11 a.m. The funeral service will begin at 11:00 a.m. in the funeral home. Interment will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery, North Arlington, NJ.

Born in New Philadelphia, PA, Mrs. Minauskas lived in Kearny for many years before moving to Parsippany in 2010.

She was a waitress at the L.C.C.C. on Davis Avenue in Kearny for 15 years before her retirement.

Veronica was a member of the Knights of Lithuania.

She is survived by four daughters, Joan Clauberg and her husband, Richard, Irene Siciliano, Ruth Branciforte, and Lorrie Cancillieri and her husband, Stephen; five grandchildren, Carol Moroses, Steven Siciliano, Susan Zottarelli, Renae Branciforte and Michael Branciforte; six great-grandchildren, Cheryl Gogal, Allison Moroses, Marc Siciliano, Stephanie Brennan, Daniel Zottarelli and Brianna Branciforte and one great-great-grandchild, Luke Gogal.

Mrs. Minauskas was predeceased by her husband, Joseph Minauskas, and her son-in-law, Neil R. Siciliano, P.E.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions to the Associated Humane Society, 124 Evergreen Avenue, Newark, NJ 07114-2133.
