Thomas Sanfilippo, Jr, 79, passed away on Wednesday, May 20, 2026, in Chilton Medical Center, Pompton Plains, NJ.

Relatives and friends are invited to visit the Thiele-Reid Family Funeral Home, 585 Belgrove Drive, Kearny, NJ, on Wednesday, June 3, from 10:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. Interment will follow at the Holy Cross Cemetery, North Arlington, NJ.

Born in Passaic, New Jersey, Thomas lived in North Arlington, East Rutherford, Hackensack, and Norwood before moving to Pompton Lakes in 2014.

He served in the United States Army during Vietnam.

He is survived by his brother, Joseph Sanfilippo (Lorraine), and nieces Karen Richterich (Ed), Joy Ortiz (George), Michelle Fay (John), nephew Scott Sanfilippo, 9 great-nieces and nephews, and 2 great-great-nephews.

Predeceased by his wife, Rosalie (Puma) Sanfilippo, parents, Thomas and Louise (Mangone) Sanfilippo, and his brother Anthony Sanfilippo.
