Tereluz Ranilla, (nee Chung), 59, passed away on Sunday, July 7, 2024, in University Hospital, Newark, NJ.

Relatives and friends are invited to visit at the Thiele-Reid Family Funeral Home, 585 Belgrove Drive, Kearny, NJ on Thursday, July 11 from 9:30 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. The funeral service will begin at 12:30 p.m. Interment will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery, North Arlington, NJ.

Born in Lima, Peru, Tereluz immigrated to the United States in1996 and lived in Harrison, NJ. She has lived in Kearny for the last 20 years.

She is survived by her husband, Gustavo Ranilla, one daughter, Yamilet Varilias and her husband, Alberto and one son, Italo Gustavo Ranilla, nine siblings, Amalia Chung, Apsara Chung, Luisa Chung, Marina Cardenas, Esther Chung, Roberto Chung, Marco Chung, Cesar Chung and Rafael Martinez. Tereluz was the beloved grandmother of Yansi Ranilla, Jayden Ranilla, Zaidi Ranilla, Liam Ranilla, Gabriel Varilias, Yarissa Varilias and Dylan Ranilla.
