Suzanna Gronet, 89, entered into eternal rest on December 3, 2025, after a short battle with cancer.
She was born in Wołuszewo, Poland on December 7, 1935, to the late Jan and Janina (Rudolf) Romanowski. Suzanna emigrated to the United States with her family in 1963 and like many immigrants at the time became a factory worker at Sylvania Light Bulb Co. and later Stanley Tools in Kearny, NJ.
Suzanna was a devout Catholic and an active member of the Holy Rosary Altar Society at Our Lady of Czestochowa in Harrison. She took many trips with the church when Father Rudy was the pastor but especially enjoyed the religious pilgrimages to Fatima and Rome where she was elated to receive an audience with Pope John Paul II.
Remembered for her strength and generosity, Suzanna dedicated her life to her family. She was predeceased by her husband Stanley of 68 years. She was a loving mother to her daughters Anna Camaiore and her husband, Peter and Barbara Gronet, a proud Babci to her grandchildren Anthony, Nicholas (Randi), and Kyle (Ashley), and a doting great grandmother to Emma, Madilyn, and Isla. Her spirit will continue to guide us as we navigate life without her.
Family and friends may pay their respects on Sunday, December 7, 2025 (her 90th birthday) at Thiele-Reid Family Funeral Home at 585 Belgrove Drive, Kearny, NJ from 1:00 - 5:00 pm. A funeral mass will be held on Monday, December 8th at Our Lady of Czestochowa Church in Harrison at 11:00. The internment will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery in North Arlington.
