Susan Dobosh, (nee Brown), 65 passed away peacefully with her son, Stephen at her side on Thursday, October 7, 2021 at her home in Kearny, NJ.
Relatives and friends are invited to visit with the family at the Thiele-Reid Family Funeral Home, 585 Belgrove Drive, Kearny on Monday, October 11 from 2 to 4 & 7 to 9 p.m. The funeral service will be held in the funeral home on Tuesday morning at 10:00 a.m. Cremation will be private.
Born in Newark, Susan was raised in Kearny. She later moved to Nutley, NJ where she lived for eighteen years before moving back to Kearny sixteen years ago.
Susan was an exceptional tennis player at Kearny High School and was the first girl to compete on the boy’s tennis team. One year later the girl’s team was formed. She played in many tournaments as a member of the Arlington Players Club in Kearny and was awarded countless trophies for first-place finishes.
Susan attended the Katherine Gibbs School in Montclair, NJ where she completed a one-year secretarial program in June 1975.
She later graduated from Montclair State College in Montclair, NJ in 1982 with a Bachelor of Science in Recreation Professions.
Ms. Dobosh was an Assistant Vice President with Pro Access Insurance and Herbert L. Jamison & Company, LLC in Cranford NJ for 28 years and prior to retiring.
She is survived by her children, Stephen R. Dobosh and Robyn E. Comer, and her husband, Josh, and one sister, Barbara Brantley. Susan was the beloved grandmother “Yaya” of Joshua Comer, Jr. Harper Comer, and Mia Comer.
