Rubel Radhames Ramos

One shot that took his life…

Rubel Ramos passed away on July 17, 2022, at the age of 46, in a tragic store shooting in Newark, NJ. He went to work on a Sunday morning and will never return home to his family.  He was working at the bodega when suddenly bullets were fired into the store from an outside drive-by shooting.  One bullet killed an innocent victim, a good man. 

 Rubel was born in the Dominican Republic.  His dream was to come to the states and work hard to help his family.  Rubel and Alicia took over the bodega on So. 10^th Street in April 2019.   Since then, he became part of the community.  During the pandemic, he closed one day a week to cook and feed so many in the area during a time of need.  He was giving and everyone he met became a part of his family.  Rubel was a loving and giving soul that took care of all of his family, friends, and his customers. 

 Rubel met the love of his life, Alicia Mendez, love at first sight. They each had families of their own that were united as one for many years.

He leaves behind his partner Alicia Mendez, his beloved stepchildren Anisa, Ashley, Matthew, and his grandson Giovanni. 

Rubel also leaves behind his mother Monica Antonia Gómez, two sisters Yesenia Maribel Ramos and Yuslenia Ramona Ramos, five children of his own Roowel Radhames Ramos Madera, Mónica Rusbeily Ramos Taveras, Rusbel Ariel Ramos Gonzalez, Rubiely Ramos Gonzalez, Cristian Antonio Caba, and many uncles, aunts, cousins. 

 Rubel will be honored in viewing at the Thiele-Reid Family Funeral Home, 585 Belgrove Drive, Kearny, NJ. on Sunday, July 24 from 4 to 8 p.m.  He will be laid to rest next to his father in the Dominican Republic. 

Due to the limited services flowers are not necessary at the funeral home.

  Un disparo que le quitó la vida...

Rubel Ramos falleció el 17 de julio de 2022 a la edad de 46 años, en un trágico tiroteo en una tienda en Newark, NJ. Fue a trabajar un domingo por la mañana y nunca volverá a casa con su familia. Estaba trabajando en la bodega cuando de repente se dispararon balas hacia la tienda desde un camino exterior. Una bala mató a una víctima inocente, un buen hombre.

 Rubel nació en la República Dominicana. Su sueño era venir a los Estados Unidos y trabajar duro para ayudar a su familia. Rubel y Alicia se hicieron cargo de la bodega en So. Calle 10 en Abril de 2019. Desde entonces, pasó a formar parte de la comunidad. Durante la pandemia, cerró un día a la semana para cocinar y alimentar a tantos en el área durante un momento de necesidad. Estaba dando y todos los que conocía se convirtieron en parte de su familia. Rubel era un alma amorosa y generosa que cuidaba a toda su familia, amigos, y todos sus clientes.

 Rubel conoció al amor de su vida, Alicia Méndez, amor a primera vista. Cada uno tenía sus propias familias que estuvieron unidas como una sola durante muchos años.

Deja atrás a su pareja Alicia Méndez, sus queridos hijastros Anisa, Ashley, Matthew y su nieto Giovanni. 

Rubel también deja atrás a su madre Mónica Antonia Gómez, dos hermanas Yesenia Maribel Ramos y Yuslenia Ramona Ramos, cinco hijos propios Roowel Radhames Ramos Madera, Mónica Rusbeily Ramos Taveras, Rusbel Ariel Ramos Gonzalez, Rubiely Ramos Gonzalez, Cristian Antonio Caba, y muchos tíos, tías, primos.

 Rubel será honrado en un velorio en Thiele-Reid Family Funeral Home Kearny, NJ. El horario de visita es de 4 - 8pm el Domingo, el 24 de Julio 2022. Será llevado y enterrado junto a su padre en la República Dominicana.

Debido a los servicios limitados, las flores no son necesarias en la funeraria.
