Rosemarie (Bradley) Edwards

Rosemarie “Rosie” Edwards (Bradley), 71, passed away on Thursday, July 9, 2026, in University Medical Center, Newark, NJ.

Mrs. Edwards worked in the Admissions Office at the former West Hudson Hospital in Kearny for twenty five years. Her last day was when the hospital closed on December 31, 2003.

Rose was predeceased by her beloved husband of 50-plus years, Billy Edwards. Having met as teenagers, he was the love of her life. Together they enjoyed long motorcycle rides and reminiscing about the "good old days".

Rose was also predeceased by her parents, Thomas and Bernadette (McSherry) Bradley.

She is survived by her children, Donna Austin (husband Robert), Michael Edwards (wife Elena), Matthew Edwards, and William Edwards; sister of Thomas Bradley (wife Kelly) and Bernadette Santiago (husband Hector); seven grandchildren— Kaitlynn (husband Brian), Ryan, Carly, Tyler, Jayden, Evan, Leann— “adopted” granddaughter Jackie, great-granddaughter Keira Grace, nephews, John James, Anthony & Nicholas.

Rose also leaves behind her dear sister-in-law, Sharon Edwards and several cousins.

Relatives and friends are invited to visit at the Thiele-Reid Family Funeral Home, 585 Belgrove Drive, Kearny, NJ on Sunday, July 12 from 1 to 3 p.m. Cremation will be private.
