Regina Rita Evanchick, 90, of North Arlington, NJ, passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by family, on April 15, 2025.
Born on February 8, 1935, in West Wyoming, Pennsylvania, Regina was the eldest of five siblings. She grew up surrounded by a large, loving family and remained close to her roots throughout her life. She was preceded in death by her loving and devoted husband of 52 years, Carl Evanchick, her brothers Adam and Joseph, and sister, Rita.
She is survived by her sisters, Justine and Mary Rose along with many loving nieces and nephews.
After marrying Carl, the couple moved to New Jersey, where they raised their four sons—Chester (Susan), Mark (Mary), Edward (Laurie), and Adam (Karen)—in Kearny before settling in North Arlington. Regina dedicated her life to her family, creating a warm and welcoming home where laughter and love were always present.
In her early years, she worked briefly as a telephone operator, a role that suited her friendly nature. Regina found joy in life’s simple pleasures: doing puzzles at the kitchen table, listening to country music, watching old westerns, enjoying a glass of wine, and, above all, spending time with her family. She was immensely proud of her eight grandchildren—Danni, Ethan, Cody, Callie, Adam, Matthew, Madelyn, and Victoria—who brought her endless happiness.
Regina will be remembered for her quiet strength, her kind heart, and her unwavering devotion to her family. Her legacy lives on in the lives she touched and the memories she helped create.
A memorial Mass will be celebrated to honor her life on April 22 at 11:00 a.m at Queen Of Peace Church in North Arlington.
