Dr. Piedad Rodriguez De Huacon, 88, passed away on Wednesday, August 20, 2025, in Clara Maass Medical Center, Belleville, NJ

Relatives and friends are invited to visit at the Thiele-Reid Family Funeral home, 585 Belgrove Drive, Kearny, NJ on Friday, August 22 from 5 to 9 p.m. The funeral will begin in the funeral home on Saturday morning, August 23 at 8:30 a.m. then to St. Cecilia R.C Church, Kearny where a 9:30 a.m. Funeral Mass will be celebrated. Interment will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery, North Arlington, NJ
Born in Guayaquil, Ecuador, Piedad immigrated to the United States twenty years ago living in Kearny.

She was a Dentist and School Principal at 24 de Mayo in Ecuador for many years.

Surviving are her children, Meggy Valencia, Walter Huacon, Monica Colon and Jessica Brasales. Piedad also leaves fourteen grandchildren and 10  great-granchildren.

She was predeceased by her husband, Dr. Walter Huacon.

Familiares y amigos están invitados a visitarla en la Funeraria Familiar Thiele-Reid, ubicada en 585 Belgrove Drive, Kearny, NJ, el viernes 22 de agosto de 17:00 a 21:00 h. El funeral comenzará en la funeraria el sábado 23 de agosto a las 8:30 h, y luego se trasladará a la Iglesia Católica Santa Cecilia, Kearny, donde se celebrará una misa funeral a las 9:30 h. El entierro se realizará en el Cementerio de la Holy Cross, North Arlington, NJ.

Nacida en Guayaquil, Ecuador, Piedad emigró a Estados Unidos hace veinte años y residió en Kearny.

Trabajó como dentista y directora de escuela 24 de Mayo en Ecuador durante muchos años.

Le sobreviven sus hijos: Meggy Valencia, Walter Huacón, Mónica Colón y Jessica Brasales. Piedad también deja catorce nietos y diez bisnietos.

Le precedió en la muerte su esposo, el Dr. Walter Huacón.
