Niall James Gormley

Niall James Gormley, 56, passed away on Sunday, September 1, 2024 in Villa Marei Claire, Upper Saddle River, NJ after a courageous battle with cancer.

Relatives and friends are invited to visit at the Thiele-Reid Family Funeral Home, 585 Belgrove drive, Kearny, NJ on Wednesday, September 4 from 6 to 9 p.m. 

A Funeral Mass will be celebrated in Holy Rosary R.C. Church, 344 Sixth Street, Jersey City, NJ 07302 on Thursday morning September 5 at 10:00 a.m. (Please gather at the church by 9:45 a.m.) Cremation Will be private.

Niall was born and raised in Derry Ireland. He immigrated to the United States thirty-five years ago.

He owned and operated Gormley Interiors in Jersey City for the last 25 years.

Mr. Gormley is survived by his daughter, Cassidy Gormley, one sister, Sonya Thompson and her husband, Martin, two brothers, Eamonn Gormley and his wife, Gaelle, and Kevin Gormley and his wife, Kim. He also leaves many nieces and nephews and several great-nieces and nephews and many wonderful friends.

He was predeceased by his parents, Patrick James and Anne Marie (nee McCutcheon) Gormley.
