Nanina (Anna) (Izzi) Pennacchio

Nanina (Anna) Pennacchio, (nee Izzi), 96, passed away on Thursday, March 23, 2023, at her son’s home in Brick, NJ.

Relatives and friends are invited to visit at the Thiele-Reid Family Funeral Home 585 Belgrove Drive, Kearny, NJ on Monday, March 27 beginning at 9:00 a.m. The funeral will begin in the funeral home at 10:00 a.m. then to St. Stephen’s R.C. Church, Kearny, where a Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. Interment will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery, North Arlington, NJ.

Born in Isernia, Italy, Anna immigrated to the United States in 1950 and lived in Kearny before moving to Toms River, NJ in 1990.

She is survived by her children, Rita Sansone of Albuquerque, NM, Michael Pennacchia of Waretown, NJ and Louis Pennacchio (Nancy) of Brick, NJ.

Mrs. Pennacchio was the grandmother of Robin, Jennifer, Kelly, Stacy, Christine and Joseph and the great-grandmother of Sage, Ella, Mila, Bradley, Jimmy, Hailey, Anna and Penelope.

She was predeceased by her husband, Joseph Pennacchio and her son-in-law, Kenneth Sansone.
