Maximo Fernando Grano De Oro

Maximo Fernando Grano De Oro, 57,  passed away on Saturday, May 4, 2019 in Trinitas Regional Medical Center, Elizabeth, NJ.

The funeral will be from the Thiele-Reid Family Funeral Home, 585 Belgrove Drive, Kearny, NJ on Friday at 9:00 a.m. A Funeral Mass will be offered in St. Stephen’s Church, Kearny at 10:00 a.m. Interment will follow at Arlington Cemetery, Kearny. Relatives and friends are invited to visit at the funeral home on Thursday from 5 to 9 p.m.

Maximo was born in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic. He lived in Puerto Rico and then Miami, Florida before moving to Newark, NJ in 1981. He has lived in Elizabeth for the last 16 years.

He served in the U.S. Army from 1982 until 1983.

Mr. Grano De Oro was a laborer for Ecco III Enterprises in Yonkers, NY and was a proud member of Teamsters Union Local 282, Lake Success, NY and Labors’ Local 731, Astoria NY.

He is survived by his son, Maximo Francisco Grano De Oro; his father, Fernando Arturo Grano De Oro and two brothers, Eddy and Francisco Grano De Oro.

Maximo was predeceased by his mother, Bertha Cecilia Grano De Oro (nee Jimenez).
