Mary V. (McQuilkin) Crawford

Mary V. Crawford (nee McQuilkin) died peacefully Friday, March 14, 2025. Born July 19, 1943, in Port Glasgow, Scotland. She emigrated to the United States in 1957 where she lived in Newark until moving to Kearny where she resided until her death.

Mary was the heart and soul of her family and she will be dearly missed.

She is predeceased by her father James, mother Dorothea (nee McClenaghan), brothers Patrick, David and James Mcquilkin, sisters Kathleen Mulrenan, Nancy Loughlin, Joan Hemphill and Christine Keating.

She is survived by her devoted husband Joseph, her loving children Brian (Louise) Ahern, Kevin (Cheryl) Ahern and Mary (Joseph) Voza. Her seven grandchildren: Dylan, Rachel, and Liam Ahern and Kailee, and Tyler Ahern, and Kiera Julian and Andrew Voza. Her sisters Elizabeth Parkin, Dorothea Sneddon, Isabella Elliott and brother Allan McQuilkin, many nieces and nephews and extended family and friends.

A memorial mass will be held at St. Stephens R.C. Church, Kearny on Saturday, April 12 at 12:15pm

In lieu of a formal funeral her family would like to invite all who knew and loved Mary to a celebration of her life on April 12, 2025, at the Scots American Club Kearny at 2 pm.
