Maria Fanny Horna

Maria Fanny Horna, (nee Fierro), 91 passed away peacefully on Sunday, May 17, 2026, at home in Kearny, NJ.

Relatives and friends are invited to visit at the Thiele-Reid Family Funeral Home, 585 Belgrove Drive, Kearny on Friday, May 22 from 4 to 8 p.m. The funeral will begin in the funeral home on Saturday morning, May 23 at 9:00 a.m. followed by a Funeral Mass at 10:00 a.m. in St. Stephen’s R.C. Church, Kearny. Cremation will be private.

Born in Quito Ecuador, Maria immigrated to the United States in 1975 and lived in Chicago, IL. She has lived in Kearny for many years.

Mrs. Horna is survived by her children, Jorge Horn and his wife Susana Larco, Cecilia Horna, Marco Horna and his wife, Rocio and Lucia Horna. She was the grandmother of Raul, Daniel, Maritza, Veronica, Rolando, Erika, Thalia, Angie, Bryan, Christopher, Matthew, Melissa and Kasey and great-grandmother of Kevin, Nicole, Melissa, Dennis, Bryanna, Christian, Victoria, Isabella, Emilio, Camila, Mia, Ariella, and Lailah, Lilly, Caleb and Nathaniel. She was the great-great-grandmother of Noah. Also, her living siblings, Ruth Velasquez, Cecilia Nolivos and Luis Nolivos and his wife Patricia Narvaez.

Maria was predeceased by her husband, Juan A. Horna, her sister Elsa Nolivos and son-in-law Salomon Galarza.
