Margaret Ann Ciba

Margaret Ann Ciba, 74, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, November 22, 2023, in hospice care in Stamford, CT after a battle with cancer.

Relatives and friends are invited to visit at the Thiele-Reid Family Funeral Home, 585 Belgrove Drive, Kearny, NJ on Sunday, November 26 from 1 to 4 p.m.  The funeral will begin in the funeral home on Monday morning at 8:45 a.m. then to Queen of Peace Church, North Arlington, NJ, where a Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 9:45 a.m.  Entombment will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery, North Arlington.

Miss Ciba was born and raised in Jersey City, NJ. She earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Education from Jersey City Sate College and shortly after began her teaching career at Our Lady of Mercy School in Jersey City where she taught for over thirty-five years. Margaret then moved to Stratford, CT in 2005 and continued her teaching career at St Theresa’s School in Trumbull, CT. Upon retiring from teaching in 2013, she returned to the Trumbull School System to work as a Paraprofessional until January 2023.

She is survived by her sister, Monica Lucas, her brother-in-law, David Lucas, and many loving family members and friends.
