Obituary
Madalena Morgado, (nee Melo), 74, passed away on Thursday, March 23, 2023 in University Medical Center, Newark, NJ.
Relatives and friends are invited to visit at the Thiele-Reid Family Funeral Home, 585 Belgrove Drive, Kearny, NJ on Tuesday, March 28, from 4 to 8 p.m. Entombment will take place on Wednesday morning at 11:00 a.m. in Holy Cross Chapel Mausoleum, North Arlington, NJ.
Born in Marvao, Portugal, Mrs. Morgado immigrated to the United States on December 13, 1969 and lived in Newark, NJ before moving to Kearny in 2007.
She was employed as a maintenance worker at P.S.E.&G. in Newark for 10 years before retiring. Prior she worked at Victory Optical in Newark.
Madalena is survived by her husband, Armando Morgado, one daughter, Dina Saraiva and two grandchildren, Stephanie and Paul Saraiva. She was the sister of Elizete Santos, Maria Silva, Manuel Melo, and Lurdes Seabra. Madelena was predeceased by her sister, Ortelia Dias.
