Laurinda Gomes Santos

Laurinda Gomes Santos, 85, passed away on Sunday, April 12, 2026, at Alaris at Belgrove, Kearny, NJ.

Relatives and friends are invited to visit at the Thiele-Reid Family Funeral Home, 585 Belgrove Drive, Kearny, NJ on Friday, April 17 from 5 to 9 p.m. The funeral service will begin at 7:30 p.m. Visiting will continue on Saturday morning, April 18 from 8:00 a.m. until 10:00 a.m. then to Graceland Memorial Park, Kenilworth, NJ for a graveside service at 11:00 a.m.

Born in Mangualde, Portugal, Laurinda immigrated to the United States in 1973 and lived in Newark, NJ for 20 years before moving to Hillside, NJ. She has lived in Clark, NJ for the last two years.

Mrs. Santos is survived by her husband, Amadeu Santos, two children, Jose Antonio Santos (Luisa) and Cristina Tusche (Jeffrey), three brothers, Alfredo, Antonio  and Jose Mario Gomes and two sisters, Candida Santos and Maria Tavares. She was the grandmother of Ruben Santos (Loure), Vania Fioravante (Isaque), and Mason Tusche and great grandmother of Valentina, Juliette,Nathaniel, Alayna, David and Francesca.

Laurinda was predeceased by her son, Fausto Henrique Santos.
