Joaquin Juan Camano

Joaquin Juan Camano, 58, passed away on Friday, July 14, 2023, in St. Michael’s Medical Center, Newark, NJ.

Relatives and friends are invited to visit at the Thiele-Reid Family Funeral Home, 585 Belgrove Drive, Kearny, NJ on Thursday, July 20 from 6 to 9 p.m. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Friday July 21 at 10:30 a.m. in Holy Cross Church, Harrison, NJ. Cremation will be private.

Born in Kearny, Mr. Camano moved to Spain as a young boy where he lived for many years before returning to Harrison. He later lived in Miami, FL before moving to Newark 5 years ago.

He worked for the Town of Harrison in the Department of Public Works for 10 years before retiring 12 years ago. Prior he worked at Pechters Bakery in Harrison.

Joaquin was a member of Club España in Newark.

He is survived by his husband, Gabriel Rojas, two brothers, Enrique Camano (Maria), Andres Camano (Norma) and one sister, Donna Ageitos (Andres). He was the uncle of Enrique Camano, Jr (Rachel)., Jose Camano (Ana) and Adrian Camano and great-uncle to Levi James Camano and Delaiah Joe Camano.
