Joaquim Maria Rocha Carlos

Joaquim Carlos, 88, passed away on Wednesday, December 9, 2020, at home in Kearny, NJ.

Born in Setubal, Portugal, Mr. Carlos lived in Harrison, NJ for 10 years before moving to Kearny 20 years ago.

He was a maintenance worker in New York City for many years, and before that, he traveled the world on a fishing ship as a marine machinist.

Joaquim is survived by his wife, Conceicao (nee Moraes) Carlos, two step-children, Nanci and Evandro, and four step-grandchildren, Melina, Matheo, Lucca, and Nicolle.

Funeral arrangements were private.
