James Hallaway

James Hallaway, 64, passed away suddenly on Thursday, February 29, 2024

Relatives and friends are invited to visit at the Thiele-Reid Family Funeral Home, 585 Belgrove Drive, Kearny, NJ on Friday, March 8 from 2 to 6 p.m. Cremation will be private.

Born in Newark, NJ, Jim was raised in Harrison, NJ before moving to West Orange, NJ where he lived for twenty years. He moved to Saddle River, NJ five years ago.

He was a graduate of Rutgers University and later went on to The Julliard School to study music composition.

Mr. Hallaway was a Title Examiner at his company, Cross County Title Agency for the past thirty seven years.

He is survived by his wife, Kathleen Donoghue, one son, John Hallaway and one daughter, Samantha Hallaway and many nieces and nephews.

Jim was predeceased by his brother, John F. Hallaway.
