Isidro Maza

Isidro Maza, 95, passed away on Tuesday, June 24, 2025 at home in Kearny, NJ.

Relatives and friends are invited to gather at St. Stephen’s R.C., Church, Kearny, on Friday, June 27 where a Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. Cremation will be private.

Born in Cantabria, Spain, Isidro immigrated to the United States in 1969 and lived in Newark, NJ. He has lived in Kearny for the last 55 years.

He is survived by two children, Maria Carmen Maza and Isidoro Maza and his wife, Elia, one sister, Magdalena Maza Lastra, three brothers, Manuel Maza Lastra, Mateo Maza Lastra and Alfredo Maza Lastra, two grandsons, David Maza and his wife, Maria and Joseph Mazza and three great-grandchildren, Sebastian, Alexia and Gabriel.

Isidro was predeceased by his wife, Blanca Maza  (Garcia) on June 13, 2025. He was also predeceased by his siblings, Jose Maza Lastra, Gabino Maza Lastra, Alfredo Maza Lastra, Luis Maza Lastra, Antonia Maza Lastra, Baldomera Maza Lastra and Esperanza Maza Lastra.
