Irma Werblin Urdang, 100, of Verona, died Saturday, November 14th. She was born in Brooklyn to Peter and Ida (Fieldman) Walowit. She lived in South Orange before moving to Verona in 2003. Many years ago, Mrs. Urdang was Chief Proofreader for Campbell-Ewald Advertising and was active in Essex County Brandeis, Temple Israel (South Orange), and NJCJW.
She was a graduate of Columbia High School (1938) and University of Wisconsin where she was a member of ΑΕΦ (Alpha Epsilon Phi) Sorority. Irma was pre-deceased by her husbands Marvin Werblin and Albert Urdang and her sister Gloria Bronstein Gorham. She is survived by her brother Peter Waldren (Reggie), daughters Paula Werblin Willcox and Peggy Werblin Stelle, bonus daughter Laurie Urdang Gregory (Jess), grandsons David (Niki) and Dan (Laurie) Willcox; Andrew (fiancée Kim), Benjamin (Ashley), Michael (Emily) Stelle; bonus grandsons Mark (Allison) and Adam (Jessica) Gregory; 7 great-grandchildren and 2 bonus great-granddaughters; nieces Susan Bronstein and Diane Bronstein Meyer and nephew Howard Bronstein.
Irma will be honored at a post-Covid celebration.
