Iris Gallagher

Iris Gallagher, 44, passed away on Friday, September 17, 2021, in North Carolina.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Celebration of Life on Sunday, October 10, 2021, at the Thiele-Reid Family Funeral Home, 585 Belgrove Drive, Kearny, NJ from 1 to 3 p.m.

Born in Phoenix AZ, Iris was raised in Kearny and graduated from Kearny High School. She later lived in Newark, NJ before moving to North Carolina three years ago.

She was a cashier at Wal-Mart in Kearny. Prior she was a member of the office staff at PJT Transport & Logistics in South Kearny. Before that, she was a Daycare Assistant at the East Orange VA Medical Center Employee daycare center.

Iris is survived by her children, Alex, Andrew, Aiden, Chloe, and Robert, Jr., her mother, Christine Gallagher, and her step-father James Gallagher and her step-mother, Diane Morris, and one step-sister, Courtney Taub. She also leaves behind several aunts, uncles, and cousins and her grandmother, Betty Kennedy.

She was predeceased by her father, Ed Morris one sister, Heather Gallagher, and her grandparents, Pete Kennedy, Catherine, and James Gallagher, and Earl and Frances Morris.

Iris loved her children immensely. She was extremely caring and a friend to everyone. She loved to spend time with her family and friends and enjoyed the beach and camping trips. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
