Helen M. (Johnston) Davidson

Helen M. Davidson, (nee Johnston), 88, passed away on Thursday, January 5, 2023, at home in Kearny, NJ.

The funeral will be from the Thiele-Reid Family Funeral Home, 585 Belgrove Drive, Kearny, NJ on Monday, January 9 at 9:30 a.m. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated in St. Cecilia Church, Kearny at 10:30 a.m. Interment will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery, North Arlington, NJ. Relatives and friends are invited to visit at the funeral home on Sunday, January 8 from 1 to 4 p.m.

Born in Newark, NJ, Helen lived in Sea Bright, NJ then Harrison, NJ before moving to Kearny sixty-five years ago.

She was employed as an Order Taker at Pechter’s Bakery in Harrison for twenty-six years before retiring in 2000.

Mrs. Davidson is survived by her children, John R. Davidson (Diane), Karen Duda and Thomas P. Davidson (Mercedes). She was the grandmother of Daniel, Ryan, Kelsey and Justin Davidson. She also leaves behind many nieces and nephews and Molly the dog.

Helen was predeceased by her husband, Robert, son, Robert, son-in-law Charles and sister, Barbara Sanfilippo and her husband, James.

In lieu of flowers the family suggests contributions to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
