Giuliano Turano

Giuliano Turano, 76, passed away on Sunday, March 8, 2020, in Clara Maass Medical Center, Belleville, NJ.

The funeral will be from the Thiele-Reid Family Funeral Home, 585 Belgrove Drive, Kearny, NJ on Friday, March 13 at 9:00 a.m. A Funeral Mass will be offered in St. Stephen’s Church, Kearny at 10:00 a.m. Entombment will follow at Laurel Grove Cemetery, Totowa, NJ. Relatives and friends are invited to visit at the funeral home on Thursday from 5 to 9 p.m.

Mr. Turano was born in Calabria, Italy. He immigrated to the United States in 1960 and lived in Belleville, NJ. He later moved to Wayne, NJ before moving to Kearny seven years ago.

Giuliano was a Mason Contractor and owned and operated G&G Masonry in Belleville for many years before retiring 10 years ago.

He is survived by his wife, Sirlei (nee Kopenski) Turano, four children, Laura Turano, Italia “Ida” Cifelli, Michael Turano and Steven Lockhart. He was the brother of Esterena Scalione and the grandfather of Victoria and Andrea Cifelli and Michael Turano, Jr.
