Fred Sabato

Fred J. Sabato, passed away with his children by his side on his 59th birthday, Tuesday, December 31, 2024, in Clara Maass Medical Center, Belleville, NJ.

Relatives and friends are invited to visit at the Thiele-Reid Family Funeral Home, 585 Belgrove Drive, Kearny, NJ on Sunday, January 5 from 1 to 5 p.m. Cremation will be private. A Memorial Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Monday morning, January 6 in Queen of Peace R.C. Church, North Arlington at 11:00 a.m.

Mr. Sabato was the President and coached in Lyndhurst, NJ Youth Hockey League for many years.  He was a proud coach to many kids throughout the years, but the one he was surley most proud of was and always will be his son, Freddie. He was an avid New Your Yankee and New York Ranger fan and passed down the love of sports to his kids

He is survived by his children, Brianna Porras (John), Samatha Sabato and Fred Sabato. his father, Fred C. Sabato, two sisters Christine Guanci and Theresa Barbieri, and three brothers, Daniel, Michael and Matthew Sabato. He was the beloved grandfather of Daisy Jo Porras.

Fred was predeceased by his mother, Lorraine (nee Puentes) Sabato in 2019
