In Loving Memory of Flora Paz

February 16, 1946 – January 9, 2026.

Flora (Prado) “Uvita” Paz passed away peacefully on January 9, 2026, surrounded by her loving family.

Relatives and friends are invited to visit at the Thiele-Reid Family Funeral Home, 585 Belgrove Drive, Kearny, NJ on Monday, January 12 from 4 to 8 p.m.  The funeral will begin in the funeral home on Tuesday morning, January 13 at 9:00 a.m. then to Sacred Heart R.C. Church, Lyndhurst, NJ where a 10:00 a.m. Funeral Mass will be celebrated. Interment will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery, North Arlington, NJ.

She was deeply loved and will be remembered for her warmth, kindness, and wonderful sense of humor, which brought smiles and laughter to those around her.

Flora was born and raised in Spain before moving to the United States and settling in Harrison, NJ in 1963 where she met her beloved husband Tomas of 54 years and where they built a beautiful life together.  Family was at the heart of everything Flora did, and she welcomed her friends with the same love and care. 

Mrs. Paz is survived by her husband, Tomas; her daughters, Angeles and Ana; her sons-in-law, John and Victor; and her cherished grandchildren, Tomas and Matthew. She is also survived by her beloved siblings, Miguel and Pura; her brothers-in-law, Olegario and Urbano; her sisters-in-law, Encarnita, Teresa, and Fina; and her many nieces and nephews in Spain, all of whom she loved dearly.

Flora’s love and laughter will live on in the hearts of her family and friends forever.
