Fidelina (Gonzalez) Alonso

Fidelina Alonso, (nee Gonzalez), 102, passed away on Tuesday, May 19, 2020 at Alaris at Kearny, Kearny, NJ.

Born in Havana, Cuba, Mrs. Alonso immigrated to the United States in 1968. She lived in Newark, NJ, Kearny, and Harrison, NJ for forty years before returning to Kearny 4 years ago.

She is survived by her niece, Elisa Matalobos, one great-niece Elisa Hay and her husband, Paul, and two great-great-nieces, Elizabeth and Katherine Hay.

Fidelina was predeceased by her son Lazaro Alonso (age 9) and her husband, Gaspar Alonso, and three siblings, Margo Gonzalez and Bernardo and Leonardo Gonzalez.

Mrs. Alonso dedicated her life to her family. She loved to read, travel, knit, and sew.

In lieu of flowers contributions to St. Jude Children's  Research Hospital would be appreciated.
