Emelinda Mendez

Emelinda Mendez, 56, passed away on Saturday, May 16, 2020, in St. Michael’s Medical Center, Newark, NJ after a heroic battle with cancer.

Born in Newark, Ms. Mendez was a lifelong resident.

She earned her B.S. in Accounting and Human Resources from St Peter’s University, Jersey City, NJ.

Emelinda worked for Keystone Plastics, Inc in South Plainfield, NJ for the last 4 years. Prior she worked for Giovaudan Perfume.

Ms. Mendez is survived by her husband, Daniel Sanpedro; four sisters, Marisol Mendez, Daly Zamora, Sandra Kossup, and Alicia Walker. Emelinda was the beloved aunt of Anisa, Ashley, and Matthew Walker, Crystal and Christina Zamora, and Selena and Sabrina Kossup and the great-aunt of Rey Giovanni Graciano.

She was predeceased by her parents, Ruben and Ana Delia (nee Perez) Mendez and her niece Jenna Walker.

Private interment will take place at Holy Cross Cemetery, North Arlington, NJ.
