Efrain Gonzalez

Efrain Gonzalez, 68, passed away on Sunday, November 2, 2025, in St. Joseph’s University Medical Center, Paterson, NJ.

Relatives and friends are invited to visit at the Thiele-Reid Family Funeral Home, 585 Belgrove Drive, Kearny, NJ on Thursday, November 6, from 4 to 7 p.m. Interment will be private.

Born in Ponce, Puerto Rico, Efrain moved to Paterson in 1979.

He was a Chief Custodian for the Norman S. Weir Public School on College Boulevard in Paterson for the last twenty one years.

Efrain is survived by his wife, Sandra Gonzalez, two children, Sandralis Gonzalez & Efrain Gonzalez Jr. and his wife, Maureen Egan. He was the grandfather of Unique Jewel Smith, Aiden James Espinal, Lilian Mae Gonzalez and Lena Rose Gonzalez and the great-grandfather of Jeremiah Smith.
