Edwin Gonzalez

Edwin Gonzalez, 71, passed away on Tuesday, February 6, 2024 while surrounded by his family in Clara Maass Medical Center, Belleville, NJ.

Relatives and friends are invited to visit at the Thiele-Reid Family Funeral Home, 585 Belgrove Drive, Kearny, NJ on Friday, February 9 from 4 to 8 p.m. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated in St. Columba R.C. Church, Newark, NJ on Saturday morning, February 10 at 9:30 a.m. Interment will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery, North Arlington, NJ.

Born in Aguada, Puerto Rico, Edwin lived there before moving to Newark in 1969.

He was a self employed home improvement contractor.

Mr. Gonzalez is survived by his children, Elvin Gonzalez (Kylene), Michele Gonzalez (Kerry) and Stacy Gonzalez, five brothers, Alex, Longino, Carlos, Hector and Jonathan Gonzalez and two sisters, Judy and Maria Gonzalez. He was the beloved grandfather of Kerry-Isaac, Adrian, Jacob and Abigail Gonzalez.
