Dorothy Marflak

Dorothy A. “Dot” Marflak, 87, passed away on April 15, 2025, in Belleville, NJ.

Born and raised in Newark, Dot made her home in Kearny for more than 60 years. A devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, she was the beloved wife of the late John Marflak.

She is survived by her loving sons, Jack Marflak and his wife Nydia, and James Marflak and his wife Nilda. Dot also leaves behind her cherished grandchildren—Rebecca, Philip, James, Melissa, Alexandra, and Elizabeth—and six adored great-grandchildren: Jordan, Jayden, Kylie, Violet, Sammy, and Charlie.

Family and friends are invited to pay their respects during visiting hours at the Thiele-Reid Family Funeral Home, 585 Belgrove Drive, Kearny, on Friday, April 18 from 4 to 8 PM. A graveside service will be held at 10:30 AM on Saturday, April 19 at Holy Cross Cemetery in North Arlington.
