Devika D. (Mathura) Knapp

Devika D. Knapp, 64, passed away on Sunday, April 12, 2020, in St. Michael’s Medical Center, Newark, NJ.

Born in Trinidad, she immigrated to the United States in 1993 and has lived in Kearny, NJ ever since.

Ms. Knapp was a Home Health Care Aide for many years. She was loved by many for her kind heart and strong-willed personality.

Devika is survived by her Sons - Michael, Deryck and Sheldon Sammy

Daughters in law- April, Deborah, and Emily

Siblings - Trevor, Prakash, Jerome, Claudius, Dave, Tyrone, Lystra, Sandra, Jagmanee, Parbatee, Suresh, Vashti, and Dianne.

She was the beloved grandmother of Chelsea, Sydney, Alexandria, Amara, Nathan, and Joelle Sammy.

She was predeceased by her siblings, Michael, Shastri, Marilyn, Angee, Roy, Zambo, Indra, Grace, and Vasantee.
