Daniel Feenie, 76, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family at home on Saturday, June 20, 2026.
Relatives and friends are invited to visit at the Thiele-Reid Family Funeral Home, 585 Belgrove Drive, Kearny, NJ on Wednesday, June 24 from 1 to 5 p.m. Cremation will be private.
Born in Kearny, NJ, Dan was a lifelong resident.
After graduating from Kearny High School, Mr. Feenie served his country in the United States Navy from 1969 until 1971.
He worked as a Maintenance Worker at Englewood Hospital in Englewood, NJ for ten years before retiring in 2021. Prior he owned Dan Feenie Painting in Kearny and before that he owned and operated Em-Kay Deli on Kearny Avenue.
Daniel is survived by his wife, Catherine (Austin) Feenie, three children, Robert Austin (Donna), Lisa Miano, and Denise Sroczyski (Frank). He was the brother of Marie Wagner and Elizabeth Marshall. Dan also leaves behind his grandchildren, Kaitlyn McNicholas, Danielle Curry Pickel, Ryan, Carly and Tyler Austin and Mackenzie Miano and two great-grandchildren, Cole Pickel and Keira McNicholas.
He was predeceased by his grandson, Austin Sroczynski, one sister, Rachael Durham, and his parents, Daniel and Anna (McClymont) Feenie.
