Christopher Rodriguez Obituary

Christopher Rodriguez, 48, passed away suddenly on Thursday, November 21, 2024, at home.

Relatives and friends are invited to visit at the Thiele-Reid Family Funeral Home, 585 Belgrove Drive, Kearny, NJ on Saturday, December 7 from 1 to 5 p.m.

Born in Jersey City, NJ, Christopher lived in Kearny his entire life.

Christopher suffered from Charcot-Marie-Tooth (CMT) disease, a disease that effects motor and sensory skills. Chris was a fierce worker and refused to let his disease stop him from being a contributing member of society. He worked in the corporate AT&T office in Paramus, NJ for many years. Prior to that, he was a night manager at the Sheraton Meadowlands in East Rutherford, NJ for several years.

Chris cherished his time spent volunteering as Kearny Recreation soccer coach for many years, winning numerous Championships. He recently re-ignited his passion for soccer, becoming a member/ coach of the New York Empire F.C. power wheelchair association based in Manhattan. He was an avid fan of the New York Yankees, New York Giants, New York Rangers, and Manchester United FC.

He is survived by his mother Diane Tarabocchia and stepfather John Tarabocchia, two brothers, Nicholas Tarabocchia and his wife, Dr. Danielle Moore, Ryan Tarabocchia and his fiancé, Jessica Higney. And recently became first-time uncle to Luca Owen Tarabocchia. Beloved Aunt Margaret Brennan, Uncle Leo Brennan, and cousins Chelsea and Caitlin. He was the boyfriend of Lindsay Michelle Barr.

In lieu of flowers the family suggests contributions to the Charcot-Marie-Tooth Association.  http://cmtausa.org
