Christopher J. Brannigan, 48, passed away on Monday, March 10, 2025, at home.
Relatives and friends are invited to visit at the Thiele-Reid Family Funeral Home, 585 Belgrove Drive, Kearny, NJ on Friday, March 14 from 5 to 8 p.m. A Blessing will be offered at 7:30 p.m. Queen of Peace Council # 3428 service Friday evening at 6:00 p.m.
Born and raised in Kearny, NJ, Chris has lived in North Arlington, NJ the last few years.
He was a Union Carpenter and Foreman with the United Brotherhood of Carpenters Union 608 and 157 both in New York City.
Chris was a proud 21-year member, 3rd Degree and Trustee of the Knights of Columbus, Queen of Peace Council # 3428 in North Arlington. He was honored as Columbian of the Year in 2021 for his selfless contributions to the Council and others.
He was on the Kearny High School Crew team and after graduating returned to help coach the team from 1999 until 2008. He was an avid dart player for decades and loved every animal and child he ever met.
Christopher is at peace with his mother, the late Eileen (nee Grygielko) Brannigan, his grandparents, Edwin and Florence (nee Parulski) Grygielko, and his two beloved dogs, Dakota & Tucker.
He is survived by his brother, Thomas Brannigan and several aunts, uncles, and cousins.
