Catarina (Ferreira) Paine

Catarina Paine, (nee Ferreira), 63, passed away on Saturday, October 25, 2025, in the Mountainside Hospital, Glen Ridge, NJ.

Relatives and friends are invited to visit at the Thiele-Reid Family Funeral Home, 585 Belgrove Drive, Kearny, NJ on Monday, October 27 from 4 to 8 p.m. Interment will be held on Tuesday at 3:00 p.m. in Miller Cemetery, New Gretna, NJ

Born in Sao Jose do Cerrito, Santa Catarina, Brazil, Catarina immigrated to the United States in 1995 and lived in Newark, NJ. She later lived in Lincoln Park, NJ before moving to Montclair, NJ eight years ago. 

Mrs. Paine was a self-employed house cleaner. 

She was a member of the Y.M.C.A. in Montclair.

She is survived by her husband, Robert Paine, three sons, Daniel Lucas, Jean Geraldi and Junior Lucas. She also leaves behind her 8 beloved grandchildren.
