Barbara Kirkland

Barbara J. Kirkland, 90, passed away on Tuesday, May 27, 2025, in the Job Haines Home, Bloomfield, NJ.

The funeral service will be held on Wednesday, June 18, 2025, in the First Presbyterian Church of Arlington, 663 Kearny Avenue, Kearny, NJ beginning at 11:00 a.m. Interment will follow at Arlington Cemetery, Kearny.

Born in Jersey City, NJ, Miss Kirkland has lived in Kearny since 1968.

She was an Inventory Control Clerk at Miller Harness Company in East Rutherford, NJ for ten years before retiring in 1997. Prior, she was a Customer Service Clerk for General Electric in Newark, NJ for thirty-three years.

She was a devoted member of the First Presbyterian Church in Kearny where she was a member of the Canterbury Guild, the Craft Group, the Bell Choir as well as a Sunday School Teacher. She also served as a Deacon and Elder. Barbara was an ESL Tutor for Literacy Volunteers of America and was a Volunteer at the Former West Hudson Hospital in Kearny. She was also a member of the Michael Crawford International Fan Association.

Barbara was predeceased by her, parents, Harry G. & Ethel (White) Kirkland.
