Angelina Robertson Obituary

Angelina Robertson née Sciortino, 88, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, June 9, 2026, at Ocean University Medical Center in Brick, New Jersey.

Born in North Arlington, New Jersey, Angie spent her entire life in the town she adored. She married her high school sweetheart, Donald Robertson, and together they built a life centered on family, friendship, and love. In 1962, they purchased a second home in Bay Head, New Jersey. For more than six decades, it served as a place where family and friends came together and cherished memories were made. Angie and Don joined the Bay Head Yacht Club, which became a centerpiece of their summers and a place where they enjoyed lasting friendships and wonderful community.

Angie worked as a receptionist with Leonia Medical Associates in Englewood, New Jersey, for seventeen years before retiring in May 2018. She loved talking with patients and coworkers, and the camaraderie she formed there brought her great joy throughout her career.

At just 4 feet 11 inches tall, Angie was a larger-than-life presence. Caring, spirited, independent, and proudly Italian, she devoted her life to her children, grandchildren, family, and friends.

Known affectionately as “Aunt Angie,” she was beloved not only by her family, but also by their friends, neighbors, and countless others who came to know her over the years. She had a remarkable gift for making people feel welcome and treating them like family. Those relationships meant the world to her.

An exceptional cook, Angie was always searching for a new recipe and found great joy in preparing meals to share with others. Her kitchen was the heart of her home, and feeding the people she loved was one of the many ways she expressed her affection. She was certain to make sure no one left the table hungry.

One of the constants in Angie’s life was Sunday dinner. Following New York Giants home games, her home would fill with family and friends for a home-cooked meal, highly spirited conversation, and plenty of laughter. For decades, WFAN sports radio provided the soundtrack to her days, and she followed New York sports with enthusiasm. She was known for her quick wit, strong opinions, and colorful language, all of which endeared her to those who knew and loved her.

She is survived by her three beloved children, Douglas Scot Robertson (Elizabeth) of Clifton Park, New York; Heather Elizabeth Robertson of Bay Head, New Jersey; and Megan Anne Fairfield (Schuyler) of Küsnacht, Switzerland; her cherished grandchildren, Sabrina and Alec Fairfield, many treasured nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her dear husband, Donald Robertson, and her siblings, Carl Sciortino, Anthony Sciortino, Murph Sciortino, Josephine Shea, Gloria Russamanno and Frances Costa.

Relatives and friends are invited to visit at the Thiele-Reid Family Funeral Home, 585 Belgrove Drive, Kearny, New Jersey, on Saturday, June 20, 2026, from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. Interment will be private.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Angie's memory to the Bay Head Yacht Club Foundation, 111 Metcalf Street, Bay Head, NJ 08742.
