Alfonso J. Tortorello

Alfonso J. Tortorello, 64, passed away on Sunday, December 8, 2019, at St. Clare’s Dover Hospital.

Relatives and friends are invited to visit at the Thiele-Reid Family Funeral Home, 585 Belgrove Drive, Kearny, NJ on Wednesday, December 11 from 4 to 8 p.m. The funeral service will be held in the funeral home on Thursday, December 12 at 10:00 a.m. Interment will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery, North Arlington, NJ.

Mr. Tortorello was born and raised in Newark, NJ. He later lived in Kearny for a few years before returning to Newark. He moved to Stanhope, NJ 4 years ago.

Alfonso owned and operated Graphic Express Printing on Oliver Street in Newark for 20 years before retiring.

He is survived by one sister, Angela Flynn. Alfonso was the uncle of Kevin Flynn and his girlfriend, Rosanna Arias, and Brian Flynn and his wife, Christine. He was the great-uncle of Anastasia Murray and Giana, Brandon, Seth, and Liam Flynn and the great-great-uncle of Bentley and Sophia Murray.

He was predeceased by his parents Frank and Carmella (nee D’Alessio) Tortorello and two brothers, Jack and Frank Tortorello.
