Valencia (Yancey) Echeandia

Valencia Echeandia, (nee Yancey), 92, passed away on Friday, February 1, 2019 in University Hospital, Newark, NJ.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a memorial service on Friday, February 8, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. at the Salvation Army Kearny Corps, 443 Chestnut Street Kearny, NJ 07032

Born in Atlanta, Georgia, she lived in New York City then Lodi, New Jersey for 37 years before moving to Newark 2 years ago.

Ms. Echeandia was a member of the Salvation Army.

She is survived by her sons, Timothy, Luis, David, Jonathan and Martin  Echeandia; one son-in-law Raymond Halma, 7 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great-grandchildren.

Valencia was predeceased by her daughter, Laura Halma.

In lieu of flowers the family suggests contributions to the Salvation Army.
