Thomas J. Carey, 62 passed away on Tuesday, June 13, 2017 at Community Medical Center, Toms River, NJ.

The funeral will be from the Thiele-Reid Family Funeral Home, 585 Belgrove Drive, Kearny, NJ on Friday, June 16, 2017 at 9:00 a.m. A funeral mass will be offered in Holy Cross Church, Harrison, NJ at 10:00 a.m. Interment will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery, North Arlington, NJ. Relatives and friends are invited to visit at the funeral home on Thursday from 6 to 9 p.m.

Tom was born and raised in Harrison. He has lived in Seaside Park, NJ for many years.

He was a Purchasing Agent for United Textiles in Toms River for the last 35 years.

Thomas is survived by his brother, John J. Carey and his wife Jane (nee Doffont) and one Aunt Virginia Keller. He was the uncle of John Carey and his wife, Erin, Kristen Mara and her husband, Michael Taryn Stacy and her husband Richard and Brianne and Michael Carey and the great uncle of James and Brendan Mara and Katherine Stacy. He was the cousin of Virginia Padula and Lisa Keller.
