Marie Palumbo (nee Ostroman), 82, passed away on Tuesday, May 30, 2017 at St. Clare’s Denville Hospital, Denville, NJ.

The funeral will be from the Thiele-Reid Family Home, 585 Belgrove Drive, Kearny, NJ on Friday, June 2, 2017 at 9:00 a.m. A funeral mass will be offered at St. Cecilia Church, Kearny at 10:00 a.m. Interment will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery, North Arlington, NJ. Relatives and friends are invited to visit the funeral home on Thursday from 4 to 8 p.m.

Marie was born in Jersey City, NJ and lived in Kearny for many years before moving to Parsippany, NJ eight years ago.

Mrs. Palumbo was a secretary for the Kearny Board of Education for 15 years before retiring in 2003. Prior, she worked as a billing clerk at Congoleum Narin in Kearny from 1972until 1987.

She was a member of the Kearny Senior Citizens Club of Kearny, Inc.

Marie is survived by her children, Lisa Donabauer (Joseph), Mark Graham (Patty) and John Graham (Judy) siblings, Therese Rutan, Antoinette Ostroman and Thomas and Francis Ostroman. She is also survived by eight grandchildren and two great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her brother John Ostroman and her husband Anthony J. Palumbo.
