Manuel Hernandez

Manuel Hernandez, 93, passed away on Thursday, August 29, 2019 at his home in Whitehouse Station, NJ.

The funeral will be from the Thiele-Reid Family Funeral Home, 585 Belgrove Drive, Kearny, NJ on Saturday, August 31 at 10:00 a.m. A Funeral Mass will be offered in St. Cecilia Church, Kearny at 11:00 a.m. Interment will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery, North Arlington, NJ. Relatives and friends are invited to visit at the funeral home Saturday morning beginning at 9:00 a.m.

Mr. Hernandez was born in Manzanillo, Cuba. He immigrated to the United States in 1968 and lived in Harrison, NJ for many years before moving to Whitehouse Station in 1996.

Manuel was a maintenance worker at R.C.A. in Harrison and later worked in the same capacity at Bristol Myers Squibb in Hillside, NJ before retiring.

He is survived by his wife, Elisa (nee Espinosa) Hernandez; three children, Juan Hernandez, Manuel Hernandez and Maria del Pilar Hernandez; two brothers, Joaquin Hernandez and Jose Antonio Hernandez. He is also survived by 6 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren.

Manuel was predeceased by his sister, Matilde Hernandez.
