Janet (Catena) Wagner

Janet Wagner, (nee Catena) 84, passed away on Monday, January 22, 2018 in Ocean Medical Center, Brick, NJ.

The funeral will be from the Thiele-Reid Family Funeral Home, 585 Belgrove Drive, Kearny, NJ on Thursday, January 25, 2018 at 9:30 a.m. A Funeral Mass will be offered in St. Stephen’s Church, Kearny at 10:30 a.m. Interment will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery, North Arlington, NJ.  Condolences and memories may be shared at thiele-reid.com.

Mrs. Wagner was born and raised in Newark, NJ. She lived in Kearny for many years before moving to Brick 17 years ago.

She is survived by her children, Helen Kotchkowski and her husband, Daniel, John Wagner, Deborah Schmidt and her husband, Richard and Eugene Wagner and his wife, Deirdre ; one brother, Jack Catena ; grandchildren, Janet Ward  and her husband James , Daniel Kotchkowski, Jr. and his wife, Jennifer, Eugene Wagner, Jr., Sarah Wagner, Nicole Wagner and Michele Wagner. She also leaves behind 5 great-grandchildren.

Janet was predeceased by her husband, Eugene and her son Michael Wagner.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions to Susan G. Komen or to the American Heart Association.
