Israel Betances

Israel Betances, 29, passed away on Thursday, July 19, 2018 at Hackensack University Medical Center, Hackensack, NJ.

The funeral will be from the Thiele-Reid Family Funeral Home, 585 Belgrove Drive, Kearny on Monday, July 23, 2018 at 9:00 a.m. A Funeral Mass will be offered in St. Stephen’s Church, Kearny at 10:00 a.m. Entombment will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery, North Arlington, NJ. Relatives and friends are invited to visit at the funeral home on Sunday from 2 to 6 p.m.

Israel was born in the Dominican Republic and came to this country at age 4. He lived in North Arlington before moving to Kearny 12 years ago.

Mr. Betances was a graduate of Lincoln Technical Institute in East Windsor, CT.

He is survived by his mother ,Griselda (nee Disla) Betances and his siblings, Dariza Betances, Ivelise Betances and Marcos Betances.

He was predeceased by his father, Israel Betances.
